  ZEP FANS....
Check out the new performance track on the B2X site player ! It's the last song off their first album," How Many More Times " It's a kooky medly of 3 songs , featuring a Cropper and Dunn song [ Booker T and the M.G.s , Blues Brothers , and many more ] "The Hunter"...so here's "our virgin , [but the original virgin is allways the best ] warts and all !!

NEWS FLASH FROM PME RECORDS AND SARAH BURGESS!!! Here's part of the press release from PME. We  thought we were high on the 4th of July [ we were , 8000 ft.] but Sarah set the bar for high altitude gigs....14,000 feet!!!!
Craig from PME writes...Don't You Worry, a song from Sarah Burgess' album "One," is now up on YouTube, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI6jckP3y2w
This was a world record attempt for highest live-performance music video. The people at Guinness turned us down for a new record category because they felt that their current category, World's Highest Concert, was all they were willing to do. Great, but that was just instruments - no singing! And where's the video proof? There isn't any. Probably sounded terrible. Well, Sarah's willing to have a permanent record of her 14,264 foot attempt, and here it is. What you'll be listening to is the unedited first take during July of this year. The Park Rangers had told us not to go up because of the weather, but Sarah would have none of that. She's hardcore, after all.

PS...Sarah's youtube videos have had over 60,000 views!!

This event was for the whole family , and the clan Torrez and Douglass were there in force ! Craig and Jamie from PME Records made the show and as usual heckled us from back stage...

WHAT IS ALIAS' REAL NAME??... Like the bad pennies we were, tracks keep magically appearing... this week, from the twisted mind of Ed Phips, a little ditty from the early eighties, called "Sex Object". That's Rob and I working the rhythm section, Lori North (I was a punk before you were a punk) singing lead , and I think at one point you can actually hear cattle lowing... Check out the site-wide player or the free music page, more to follow!

THEY SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE, THEY SAID IT SHOULDN'T BE DONE! Let's burn down the boarding house and get rid of all those ugly rumors! With my summer jobs winding down (my paper route and my lifeguard job at the nude hot springs) there has been talk of a possible reunion of  the autonomous collective, known as BURNS TWICE!  After a one year sabbatical, rehearsals are scheduled to begin soon, and I'll keep you updated! We're actually learning some new tunes, if you have suggestions send them along to burnstwice@yahoo.com

NEW OLD STOCK... This summer we heard from some of our favorite road warriors buddies, like Ed Phipps, L.A. Easton, and even minion of Alias, Dianne! Some of these folks have been M.I.A. for 2 decades! Included with their missives were some fun nostalgia! Radio spots from the '80s, live recordings from Wyoming in the '70s, a couple of originals, and Vic promises to send some tracks we did in Nebraska! Check out the free music page for these rare clips (note Robby's sound effects on Lucky to be Here, and that's Lori North on lead vocals, Div Degarde and Ed Phipps on guitar, and me on bass...) I'll put up more chestnuts as I get them!

BIG CONGRATS TO OUR LITTLE BUDDY, SARAH BURGESS! What a fun couple of weeks for P.M.E. Records recording artist Sarah Burgess! On Sarah's last trip to Colorado, she warmed up Daughtry at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, (5000 cheering fans) performing tracks from her upcoming CD "ONE", signed a ton of autographs, did a bunch of radio interviews, thanks Buzz Corona DJ extraordinaire, ate a ton of BBQ ribs, and a few days later, signed her recording contract with P.M.E.! This week, she has a cool article in TV Guide (Idol Tear-jerker a Happy Ending... Er, Beginning - Today's News: My Take | TVGuide.com* and link to her MYSPACE page (http://www.myspace.com/sarahburgessmusicdotcom) to see some great new pics from our last photo shoot with GregSchlack. Her single "Didn't Matter That" with vocal production by yours truly, (this track was co-written by Mikal Blue and Colbie Cailee, Colbie is at number one CD on I-TUNES with her song "Bubbly" and the single is #4 on billboard!) Sarah's single drops this month, but you can hear it now on her myspace page. The CD's out this spring. We're so proud of all her determination and hard work! Way to go!!

It is with sadness we note the passing of two of our friends, Greg Schlack and Richard Bell. Greg was a loyal and true friend of Boulder's music community. He's a photographer (he took all my band pics for 30 years) and as manager of Pro Sound Music, he was famous for opening the store after hours to lend gear to bands, but Greg will be remembered most fondly as Captain Sweat, leader of Boulder's oldest living garage band "The Sweat Brothers. Greg was known to say "Play Loud Play Proud" Back at you...

Burns Twice first met Richard Bell last summer when we opened for Burrito Deluxe, but we have known his music for much longer. As keyboardist with Janice Joplin's Full Tilt Boogie Band, he can be seen in the movie Festival Train hanging with some of rock's greatest legends. His contribution to Burrito Deluxe and their latest album "Disciples of the Truth" was a joy to listen to. As one of rock's true gentlemen, he will be missed.

      ROB,CARLTON,AND WALTER
CONGRATULATIONS BURRITO DELUXE!! In Nashville this weekend, our buds in Burrito Deluxe released their latest disc, Disciples of Truth, to rave reviews and sold out crowds!

We got an advance copy this summer and have been listening to it ever since! My favorite tracks are the title track, and Walter Eagen's "On a Roll" is a fave, as is "Wrong Side of Town". It's a great song written by the band, and may strike a little too close to home. Check out their web at www.burritodeluxe.com.

BLUES DAY... It was a cold night in Rollinsville at the Stage Stop Tuesday Night Blues Jam known as "THE GANG". A revolving stage of eight of the area's best known musicians kept the audience dancing (and dancing on stage from time to time). First up, the members of Blues Planet Project, lead by Ted and Allison (who shall be known as "Alli-Mentry"), backed with an amazing rhythm section, featuring drummer Robby Douglass, with B.P.P. bassist, Kris Pancost. Host C.B. Billiriss and I traded licks with Ted and Jamestown Blues man, Rick Sutherland. Rick's from the cult favorite Rick and the Raydons. You never know who's going to show up, but expect the best of the best in local performers, in a relaxed open setting. The Gang fires up around 7:30 and there is never a cover!

BURNS TWICE MILE HIGH HOG HALLOWEEN FUN FEST! What a blast partying with our favorite motorcycle enthusiast! These guys threw one of the best All Hallows Eve Fete we can remember! Thanks go out to Tom and Lori who made Burns Twice feel like one of the gang. Great costumes games and prizes and folks dancing up a storm. See the pics on our new gig pix page... they're great! We can't wait to play for Mile High Hog again!

(visit them at www.scooterssportsbarandgrill.com) a great bike club, (the same rowdy crowd we played for last year! www.lets-ride.com) a few hundred shots of Jagger, (thanks to Shooters and The Jagger Girls!) Our boss, Suzie sporting a "naughty Mrs. Santa " costume, (always a great stocking stuffer!), add hundreds of revelers dancing in costume, (thanks go out to the Naughty Catholic Girls School for showing everyone the best of their student body) throw in multiple jello shots for the whole bar... (thanks Brandon and Suzi!) then mix in Burns Twice making enough noise to keep the wolves away, a costume and a dance contest (with big cash prizes!), and you have a potent recipe for a monster Halloween! There was some sort of sporting event going on at the same time, but they didn't publicize it, so no one seemed interested... I hear you... Mars, where are the photos!?!
